CONCAV Book

 Luminous Bookend
Designed by Ignacio Martínez Todeschini & Ignacio Noel

CONCAV Book explores the relationship between stone, geometry, and light. Designed as an innovative functional typology, this versatile piece operates simultaneously as a lighting element, a book support, and a sculptural object.
Through a thoughtful dialogue between geometric rationality and material lightness, the piece integrates the light source into the form itself, transforming natural stone from a structural element into an active participant in the luminous experience.
The core identity of CONCAV Book lies in its sculpted module: a Brazilian quartzite arc executed with high technical precision. Through a meticulous process combining digital milling and artisanal craftsmanship, the stone is hollowed out from within to house the light.

The object is composed of two independent elements: L and C.Operating as autonomous pieces when separated, their meeting activates the lighting mechanism through an integrated magnetic system—turning the light on upon contact and off when detached.
